▪Come What May and Love It▪
Hello!
This week has been awesome. We have done a lot and met some really awesome people.
We went to Earle this week to try some people that we are teaching but haven't been able to see recently and we decided to go tracting. We pick a street, and when we got there we saw only 3 houses on the street! So we knocked all three. No one was home, but two little kids were walking on the street and asked us what we were doing. We told them we were wanting to talk to people about Jesus. The pointed to a back of a house and said "That guy loves God...His name is Tony." So we went to that house and we met Tony. He is a really cool guy, he has been trying to find a church to go to, and wanted to know how he could get closer to God.
Yesterday we went finding and knock on a house. A guy answered and we introduced ourselves, he said the house was a Muslim household. We offered service and gave him our card. We started down the street and we heard someone yelling. We looked back and a lady was waving at us to come back. We went back and the guy was just as confused as we were. He said apparently my wife wants to talk to you come on in. We met Robin and Denzel her son. She did they were trying to be Muslim but she is not sure if she wants to get in deep with it. Also she doesn't want to give up pork. She seemed interested in learning more and liked the Book of Mormon.
We met Vera a bible referral she wanted a new bible in Large print. We didn't know she needed a large print it was pretty awkward. We got to know her more and she wanted to learn more about the plan of salvation.
Tasha ( a former) called us up this week and asked if we could come by again. We had an awesome lesson and we set her on date! It was awesome.
This week I read Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin's talk "Come what may and love it." I have always liked the saying come what may but I love the second part and love it. He talks about we should find the good from all that can and has happen to us and choose to be happy. It makes life easier when you choose to laugh through the hard times. I know that when we rely on Jesus Christ to help us that we will see the good in our trials and know that the outcome will be better. I know the joy we will feel from Heavenly Fathers love will be so great that we won't know what to do except share it with others. I love my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.
