Hey y'all! This week has been good! I think I probably say that every week, but what else can you say when your overall week has been good. We had some crazy storms this last week. 2 trees have fallen down on one street to get to our apartment. I feel bad for people on the street.
We found a lady last Monday her name was Shantoris. We talked to her about the Book of Mormon and set an appointment for Saturday. We texted her Saturday to confirm and she said she was going out of town. When we asked if there was a day next week we could she her she said 'no thank you' it was funny but sad but now we are one person closer to find the one of Heavenly Father's elect.
We tried one of our Ministering Sisters and she wasn't home again... so we looked around and asked ourselves what house have we not knocked yet. So we walked to one house and Jacqueline was sitting outside. She had just gone through major surgery and was questioning why now. We felt prompted to teach her the Atonement and how it covers more then sin. Sister Freeman shared a personal experience and the spirit was so strong. It was amazing.
Sunday we were trying to find out where to go finding. Where we picked the other missionaries turned out to have been there recently. So we decided to go to an apartment complex near us but as we were driving I remembered where. We were praying I thought of some streets of off some road. So I pulled over and looked at the map there was a street that stood out to me. We went and knocked the whole street. Sadly we didn't find anyone but after we got into the car a companionship texted the zone group chat about how they were able to set someone they have been working with for awhile on date. I had a thought that even though we didn't find anyone God has noticed our hard work and he will bless us for it sometime.
It is hard at some point in all aspects of living the gospel to continue working when you aren't seeing any fruits for you labor. That shouldn't stop us from working. For me it makes me want to work harder because perhaps if I work harder my fruits will come quicker. So I'll keep working harder and harder if I have to because I know that blessing will come and when they do come I will know that it is because Jesus Christ who has seen my hard work and took it farther.
I love you all and am so grateful for the examples you have given me in my life. Sister Kemp.
