MTC Week 1

Man this week has been so crazy I feel like I need at t-shirt that says "I survived the MTC" After I am done. The first 3 days are just go go go. You don't have any breaks, and everyone is saying "just make it to Sunday it gets better. " Which I didn't take that seriously, then Sunday came around and it was so good and it really does recharge you for the week. The MTC is really cool you can just always feel the spirit (if you are looking for it.) All the sisters in my district are all in the same room which is very fun. We all get along well. My companion Sister Scott and I also get along very well. It is fun to be with her. My district is a Pilot district, which is cool. We are focusing on scheduling a lot more. So we have to do more precise planing down to when we are studying, what we are studying and when we are studying. The classroom we are in has a two-way mirror, and microphones so the other classroom can be transformed into a to observe us. I am really nervous about that because all the new Mission Presidents have training these next few weeks. Meaning we could have people coming in and watching us. Wednesday: First day of the MTC. We had a little orange dot on our name tag that everyone calls a "dork dot" which really means that you'll get "Welcome to the MTC." Over 100 times walking every where. Thursday: It was a long day just learning everything. We met our first PI ( progressing investigator) and we learnt how to start conversations. Friday: We bonded as a district which was fun. Saturday: We did service and met our TRC which is another person we get to teach. Sunday: Sacrament meet was so amazing. Actually all of Sunday was amazing. The devotional we had was fun. President and Sister Gillbert spoke on the plan of salvation and with each new step we sang a primary song. Monday: It went by so fast. Everyone in our district and such a great day. Tuesday: P-day got to go to the temple. It was so cool. Any way have a good week. Love Sister Kemp

Hello! This week has been awesome. We have done a lot and met some really awesome people. We went to Earle this week to try some people that we are teaching but haven't been able to see recently and we decided to go tracting. We pick a street, and when we got there we saw only 3 houses on the street! So we knocked all three. No one was home, but two little kids were walking on the street and asked us what we were doing. We told them we were wanting to talk to people about Jesus. The pointed to a back of a house and said "That guy loves God...His name is Tony." So we went to that house and we met Tony. He is a really cool guy, he has been trying to find a church to go to, and wanted to know how he could get closer to God. Yesterday we went finding and knock on a house. A guy answered and we introduced ourselves, he said the house was a Muslim household. We offered service and gave him our card. We started down the street and we heard someone yelling. Happy Valentine's Day

Hello! This week has been pretty good. Saturday was just a really awesome day we had spiritual lessons one after another. It started with Kelvin who in the last lesson we had said he was spiritually hungry and didn't feel like he was getting filled at his church. He was founded during a blitz before I got here but he said that he knew when he say the elders that whatever they were sharing would help him. We taught him the first lesson on Saturday and he knew that everything we where saying was true because he was talking about that earlier with his wife. We invited him to be baptized but he said he wanted to make sure it was the right church and the right things to do. After Kelvin we had a lesson with Ms. Cathy she asked for a priesthood blessing so we had asked someone in the branch to give her one. Afterwards she said that the peaceful feeling she had while reading the Book of Mormon was there. We testified that it was the spirit and told her she could feel the spirit all ...
