Week 2

This week has been so cool. The Twelve Apostles have been here on campus so I have been able to see a most of them walk to lunch and back. All of the sisters in the district except for Sister Scott and Me have been able to shake Elder Christoffersen and Elder Uchtdorf's hand. Lucky them. Everything seemed to fall into place this week here at the MTC and it has been a lot easier just in general. On Wednesday after lunch we were studying under a shade of a tree and watching the new missionaries come which was fun, and it reminded me that I had to find mom's friend's son. So after we where done studying we started to walk up to class and I glace behind me and thought the guy behind us looked somewhat familiar, so I glanced back again and low and behold it was Elder Kemp. So that quest was done. On Sunday (because nothing really happen the rest of the week) there was a different kind of spirit feel on campus, so it made the church meeting really nice. When we where at Lunch the old zone leaders said they saw ALL FIFTEEN, so that would explain the different spirit feeling. I decided to Join the Choir and at the devotional we sang to the Twelve Apostles and it was so cool to see their faces while we were singing. ( The Choir was 85-90% of the Missionaries. It was SO BIG). The speaker at the devotional was Elder Cook. He talked about how to be a better missionary. At the end of the devotional we were all standing for the Apostles and after they left all the New Mission Presidents were waving to, taking pictures, and videoing us. It was fun. Then all of the sudden we were all singing Call to Serve and it felt so awesome. On Monday we got the opportunity to meet with a new mission president who will be serving in Ogden Utah. He and his Wife taught us some more about adjusting to missionary life. It was fun. Tuesday (p-day) we went to the temple as a district it was fun. We went a lot earlier in the day so we could have more time after which help today be a bit more relaxing. I love going to the temple it is such a nice way to start my P-day. Pictures 1. Temple 2. Hello! This week has been awesome. We have done a lot and met some really awesome people. We went to Earle this week to try some people that we are teaching but haven't been able to see recently and we decided to go tracting. We pick a street, and when we got there we saw only 3 houses on the street! So we knocked all three. No one was home, but two little kids were walking on the street and asked us what we were doing. We told them we were wanting to talk to people about Jesus. The pointed to a back of a house and said "That guy loves God...His name is Tony." So we went to that house and we met Tony. He is a really cool guy, he has been trying to find a church to go to, and wanted to know how he could get closer to God. Yesterday we went finding and knock on a house. A guy answered and we introduced ourselves, he said the house was a Muslim household. We offered service and gave him our card. We started down the street and we heard someone yelling. Happy Valentine's Day

Hello! This week has been pretty good. Saturday was just a really awesome day we had spiritual lessons one after another. It started with Kelvin who in the last lesson we had said he was spiritually hungry and didn't feel like he was getting filled at his church. He was founded during a blitz before I got here but he said that he knew when he say the elders that whatever they were sharing would help him. We taught him the first lesson on Saturday and he knew that everything we where saying was true because he was talking about that earlier with his wife. We invited him to be baptized but he said he wanted to make sure it was the right church and the right things to do. After Kelvin we had a lesson with Ms. Cathy she asked for a priesthood blessing so we had asked someone in the branch to give her one. Afterwards she said that the peaceful feeling she had while reading the Book of Mormon was there. We testified that it was the spirit and told her she could feel the spirit all ...
