What a week!

Image
Wow what a week! It has felt long and short at the same time. How is that possible! Any way this week has been really fun. Exchanges went great! I was worrying over nothing. Last Monday we were trying where Bailey lived because we lost the address and could only remember the street. We drove down the street and we had an impression to stop at one house, but we continued on to make sure it wasn't any other houses. After stopping and praying I told Sister Robinson "let's drive the street one more time." So off we went, as soon as we started we stopped at that house we had the impression to stop at. It wasn't Bailey's house but we met someone who was really interested in what we had to say. Ricky is a person we are teaching who can't seem to put the Book of Mormon after maybe a month from getting the Book of Mormon he has read all the way to Mosiah Chapter 3! He is praying about a baptism date. We had a lesson with Jen on Thursday. It went really well...

The Days are Long

Hello to all. This week has been pretty good. So much has happen but the days are so long I can't keep them straight and I can't remember most of the week. So I'll try to tell you what happen the best I can. On Tuesday we had President interviews and those were good. We left and tried to see some people and we talked to Patriot (someone we are teaching' s husband) and he was interested in what we had to say because we kept coming back for his wife. He is cool. Thursday we had zone conference and it was cool. I learned a lot from it. It was cool to see how all the other areas were doing and how many miracles have been happening throughout the mission. We went tracting and found Bridget, she was taught my some Elders back in December and she wanted to start taking lessons again. On Saturday we did a lot of service in the morning. My arms are still tired. But after we were done we decide to get lunch at sonic. Our car hop person saw our name tags and asked if...

Miracles

Wow... A lot has happen this week. So many miracles happen it is has been crazy. I am glad to be here right in West Memphis. The people here are truly amazing, and the branch is so good to us. Assuming y'all are wanting to hear about the miracles that happen this week I'll jump right to it. On Sunday last week Dusty (a less active) and his girlfriend Jen (non-member) came to church. Sister Robinson said that they haven't just come to church with out an event (baby blessing) going on. So she ran right to them after sacrament meeting. We set up an appointment on Thursday. That Thursday we went to their house and had a really good lesson, and answered some of Jen's questions that she has had for years. It was so awesome to see here fears about the church melt away, and Dusty said that he is wanting to come back to church to set a good example to his kids. It is really cool to see the timing of God and how everything has to be right for someone to accept the gospel o...

Hello from Arkansas

Image
This week was pretty neat, I am finally in Arkansas. I am serving in West Memphis. The people here are so cool and most are really nice. So far the humidity hasn't killed me even though it is still pretty hot. I have been learning an doing a lot, being in the field is way different then being at the MTC. So this week on Monday I had my last classes at the MTC which was fun we mostly just fine tuned our skills of teaching and such, we combine with another class (which was all sisters, no elders, and half of them were going to Arkansas Little Rock Mission which was awesome) then did some role plays. Then we learned about the Teachers missions which was the funnest part of the day. Then on Tuesday we spent most of the day packing and chilling we couldn't go to the temple because it is closed for the month of July which was really sad, but we had so much free time. On Wednesday I flew out to Arkansas which was fun but it took all day. I kind of forgot it was the fourth of July. W...

This week was good. Not much out of the ordinary. It is crazy that I will be heading out to the field and will be in Arkansas tomorrow. I got to play volley ball with another district in our zone so that was fun. We stopped meeting with our trc but she said she would go to church ( but she is actually a member ) Our PI Edynn (teacher) said she would get baptize so yea! We learned the story behind Edynn which is Sister Shaw's sister who isn't going to church. I have learned so much here at the mtc but I am not sad to leave it. I can't wait to go out and help actual people who aren't members pretending to be non-members. I know that I will learn so much more while serving the people of Arkansas. So hopefully next weeks email will have a lot more but ta ta for now. Love ya. Pictures: 1. District with Sister Winegar 2. District with Member of branch presidency 3. District with Sister Shaw 4. District 5. The elders randomly sat down and looked like a boy band. 6.M...
