Miracles
Wow... A lot has happen this week. So many miracles happen it is has been crazy. I am glad to be here right in West Memphis. The people here are truly amazing, and the branch is so good to us. Assuming y'all are wanting to hear about the miracles that happen this week I'll jump right to it.
On Sunday last week Dusty (a less active) and his girlfriend Jen (non-member) came to church. Sister Robinson said that they haven't just come to church with out an event (baby blessing) going on. So she ran right to them after sacrament meeting. We set up an appointment on Thursday. That Thursday we went to their house and had a really good lesson, and answered some of Jen's questions that she has had for years. It was so awesome to see here fears about the church melt away, and Dusty said that he is wanting to come back to church to set a good example to his kids. It is really cool to see the timing of God and how everything has to be right for someone to accept the gospel or to want to come back to church. They came to church this Sunday and we asked if there was a time we could come back, and they where trying to find a time we could come even with their busy schedule. Jen's birthday is this week and she seemed like she was willing to cancel the plans she had so we could come over. It was kind of funny.
Another miracle happen on Tuesday when we met with the Goodwin's'. Sister Robinson and her previous companion was teaching April for quite some time, and the Elders have been teaching her brothers at the same time. We had dinner with them and had the lesson. I can't remember what was said exactly but everyone was moved by Sister Robinsons words. We invited them to be baptized and they said yes! Their mom thought that Sister Robinson was a mind reader because she was talking with April about how she wished her kids were baptized (Mom was baptized kids weren't). It was cool to see the changes they have done just with the one trip to their house.
Fun Story: I we were sitting in a parking lot messaging people on Facebook when someone left in their car and suddenly there was a lady waving a us through the window. So I waved back and she started come to the car. I was thinking that this could go one of two ways, (1) she somehow saw our tags and wanted to ask us about our religion or (2) she wanted to tell us about her religion. Long story short I now am the owner of two Jehovah Witness Magazines. Yea?!?😬. It was pretty fun Sister Robinson couldn't stop laughing.
On Saturday Sister Robinson had said a pray and asked for a miracle. We went through the rest of the day and didn't see any miracles happen. We went to the last door we had planned for the day and no one was there. But sitting outside of the apartment across the way was a girl. We stopped to talk to her and she was very interested in what we had to say. She was pretty awesome and we set up an appointment with her. Her name was Miracle.😏
Charles Jr. is a nine year old that we have been teaching but his dad Charles is the one that always opens the door when Jr. isn't home, and at first Charles wasn't interested but he was after he noticed our persistent with going back and back again to teach his son. He accepted a Book of Mormon and we will be teaching him and his son this week.
Paul is our neighbor who use to be a minister for his church but saw corruption in his church and stopped. We taught him about the Restoration and he started to read the Book of Mormon and he said how the Book of Mormon is slightly different but it was the same as the Bible.
This week has been a pretty good one. I am thankful to know when I see Heavenly Fathers hand throughout the days. I am thankful for all the tender mercies He is willing to give us, and how much He wants to help anyone and everyone who asks for help. I know that as I continue to look for tender mercies that I will be able to see them and I know that He gives us those tender mercies because He Love us. I also know that when I am in need of some help that Heavenly Father is always willing to be there and that Jesus Christ died for us so that if we do sin that we can repent and I know that Jesus died for us because He loves us and He knows what all of us has been through, what we are going through and what we will go through, and that He is there for me too. Love ya, Sister Kemp.
