Hello from Arkansas

This week was pretty neat, I am finally in Arkansas. I am serving in West Memphis. The people here are so cool and most are really nice. So far the humidity hasn't killed me even though it is still pretty hot. I have been learning an doing a lot, being in the field is way different then being at the MTC. So this week on Monday I had my last classes at the MTC which was fun we mostly just fine tuned our skills of teaching and such, we combine with another class (which was all sisters, no elders, and half of them were going to Arkansas Little Rock Mission which was awesome) then did some role plays. Then we learned about the Teachers missions which was the funnest part of the day. Then on Tuesday we spent most of the day packing and chilling we couldn't go to the temple because it is closed for the month of July which was really sad, but we had so much free time. On Wednesday I flew out to Arkansas which was fun but it took all day. I kind of forgot it was the fourth of July. We stayed at the Mission home that night. We had so many sisters that we had to take the elder bunking room. (which was just a room full of bunk beds.) On Thursday we went to the church building and had a training that took all day. I got to meet my Companion/Trainer Sister Robinson. She is really cool, I am glad that she is my trainer. On Friday we went to a funeral for a baby boy of someone who is interested in our Church. It was very sad. We went around trying to see if people were home. I met Ricky a recent convert who is really neat. He studies the Book of Mormon everyday for about an hour. I also met Tasha who as a really cool background we invited her to be baptized and she said yes! I met some other people to. We did the same thing on Saturday I am just trying to remember who is who. We also met Erica who was three kids and I kind of interested in what we have to say. On Sunday I meet the people in the branch. It is kind of weird going to a branch instead of a ward (It's so small) But that is why I am here so they can get more people. There are a lot of churches here, but it seems like people are always willing to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. I am really glad that I choose to serve a mission. I don't seem to ever have a lot to say but Sister Robinson everything will come with time so hopefully I have more to say next time ( I'll try to write more in my Journal so I can actually remember what I did each day.) I hope you all have a good week! Love ya, Sister Kemp.
