Hello!

Image
Hello! This week as been packed full of stuff. So much stuff in fact I can't really tell you everything that has happen. I am having a great time learning and teaching. We went tracting on one street and every one was in a hurry to shut the door some even slamming (ok not quite slamming) but we finally met Tanesha who was interested and she told us that every Saturday at 7 am Jehovah witness come-a-knocking. So that was fun. We went back later in the week and all out pass along cards where still there. Tanesha is really cool she said she would read the Book of Mormon. We also met Ms. Sharon who was sitting on her porch. We asked her what she knew about the Book of Mormon, and she told us that she had one and was looking for it that morning because she wanted to start reading. We have a lesson with her tonight. We had Zone conference on Thursday and it was amazing. President Hansen taught us the first half and it was just mind blowing. And the second half Sister Hansen took a...

I survived a transfer!

I have finished my first transfer! I am pretty excited about that. This week has been pretty hard and really long. I am learning so much I think I might explode. We have been finding a lot of cool people we found 10 people this week! ( but I am only going to tell you about a few). On Tuesday we went to Earle for a bible referral and when we got there the lady said that two young guys came by and already gave her a Bible and a Book of Mormon about a couple months ago and didn't come back. She seemed really sad about that. We started talking to her children and they let us inside their house. We talked a lot about the Holy Ghost and being baptism and the three we where talking to all wanted to be baptized! We invited them to be baptized and the said yes. So that was pretty neat. We met Susan who is a writer. She is writing a really awesome sounding book that might be published. We had taught her about the restoration and she was eating it up. We gave her a Book of Mormon and sh...

Good, Better, Best

This week was good. So much has happen that it doesn't seem like all of it happen this week. Something that I have been learning is Good, Better ,Best (something from Sister Robinson) and applying it to what we need do to for the day and what the best things is. It has been cool to apply it to everything. This week we had a lesson with Candice. It was the best and most spiritual restoration lesson we have taught! It was awesome! We asked her to come to church and she said come next Sunday. I am so exited to she her there. She is just loving what we are teaching. We also found out where Bailey lives! So hopefully we can find a time to go and see her this week. We had a bible referral so we went and talked with Benita. We gave her bible to her and she asked me what was in my hands ( the Book of Mormon.) So I taught her about the Book of Mormon! It was so cool. She took the Book of Mormon as well. There was a devotional on Saturday, and a member of the seventy Elder Costa and ...

August 6, 2018

This week has been pretty good. I have been learning so much. I am getting a whole lot better at talking to people, which is pretty exciting. We have been doing role plays in the car so I can get all the awkward parts out of the way so when I talk to real people it is more comfortable for me. It makes me feel better to turn around and look at how much I have been growing, and how much I have been learning. I have been thinking of the end goal and wanting to just get there instead of focusing on where I am now and how I got there. So it is going to take a little more patience then I had planned. I am really glad that I decide to serve a mission even if the humidity makes it feel like it's 115 degrees or if my bug bites turn my legs into one giant scab, it is worth seeing lives changing. Tuesday was my first bike day! I felt like I was going to die. But I know that with the bike days to come I will feel better ( not much) afterwards. Wednesday: We had an awesome lesson with Rick...
