This week has been pretty good. I have been learning so much. I am getting a whole lot better at talking to people, which is pretty exciting. We have been doing role plays in the car so I can get all the awkward parts out of the way so when I talk to real people it is more comfortable for me. It makes me feel better to turn around and look at how much I have been growing, and how much I have been learning. I have been thinking of the end goal and wanting to just get there instead of focusing on where I am now and how I got there. So it is going to take a little more patience then I had planned. I am really glad that I decide to serve a mission even if the humidity makes it feel like it's 115 degrees or if my bug bites turn my legs into one giant scab, it is worth seeing lives changing.
Tuesday was my first bike day! I felt like I was going to die. But I know that with the bike days to come I will feel better ( not much) afterwards.
Wednesday: We had an awesome lesson with Ricky and he said he would finish the Book of Mormon at the end of the Month. He loves it so much he can't put it down. We asked him if he would be baptized by the end of the Month too. He said he knows in his heart he is ready, but his mind isn't but "who knows I might surprise you." He is such a funny guy. We stopped at a family dollar because we wanted Gatorade and we met Rosemary in the parking lot she is a really nice lady.
On Friday we planned our day our so well that we had back ups for our back ups and everything. But all the lessons we had fell through and none of the contact attempts were home and we ended up being 2 hours ahead of our schedule, and didn't know what to do. So we stopped in a Parking Lot and we said a prayer. I prayed and asked that we might find someone who was prepared and willing to listen to our message. I got the distinct feeling that we where going to find someone, I didn't know who or where, just that we would find someone. We tried one of our ministering sisters and she wasn't home. We remembered that we prayed during weekly planning about where we should go finding so we went to that street. We got started and we met a lady who was leaving her mom's house (she probably wasn't even there 5 minutes) She thought it was funny how she and her husband was talking about finding a church home to go to, then we showed up. We also met Chris so is a young (older then us) dad, who wants to do the best he can for his children, and wants to build his relationship with Christ. It is cool to see how if you prepare something to the best of your ability Heavenly Father will help you with the rest.
Sister Robinson is literally the best. We get along so well and it is probably just because we don't have time to find something to get mad at. We pretty much just think the other is weird and leave it at that.
I know that Heavenly Father knows what we are going through at each moment of everyday, I know that he is willing to give us the tools we need to get over the challenges we have and I know that he will show us how to use them, we only have to turn to Him in prayer and ask Him. I know that Heavenly Father knows how much we can handle and that he is cheering each of us on every step of the way.
I love ya! Sister Kemp.
