Happy Halloween!π
This week has been really good. We have done a lot and have seen many miracles.
We met Kim this week we is so cool. She had had lot of bad things happen to her within the past couple months and has been praying to know what she is needing to do. We walked pass her house as soon as she walked outside. We taught her some of the plan of salvation and she said she really needed to her that. We will be meeting with her in Wednesday.
We had a lesson with Robbin scheduled for Thursday but she canceled because she was going out of town on Friday and had to prepare for that. But on Friday we where heading back to the apartment to have dinner when we got a call from Robbin. She wasn't going out of town until later that night and asked if we wanted to come over for a lesson! We said of course and had a really spiritual lesson with her.
We had a lesson with Lula this week as well. She is doing really good she reads the Book of Mormon everyday. She is in Alma. Sadly she has a crazy work schedule and we can meet with her often. She works Saturday nights and is so exhausted she can go to church. She told us that she would ask the manger if she could switch times with her even though just so she could come to church. She wasn't able to switch. But she had sure great faith to ask, it was impressive.
We taught Payden again this Sunday and he will be getting baptized on November 17!
Sister Kulikowski met Cece on exchanges a few weeks back and we haven't been able to get in contact with her since, but this exchange Cece texted and said she still wanted to meet and she wanted to bring some of her friends! I have still yet to met her.
Today we went to the Bass Pro Shop for district p-day. It was pretty neat got to go to the top of the pyramid. And we are making a brain cake. It is not finished yet so you'll see the finished product next week.
I read Mosiah 18:30 this week after listening to a Hank Smith talk. It stuck with me for some unknown reason. But it is a very cool verse if you pick it apart.
30 And now it came to pass that all this was done in Mormon, yea, by the waters of Mormon, in the forest that was near the waters of Mormon; yea, the place of Mormon, the waters of Mormon, the forest of Mormon, how beautiful are they to the eyes of them who there came to the knowledge of their Redeemer; yea, and how blessed are they, for they shall sing to his praise forever.
In Mormon the people Alma had baptized came to the knowledge of their Redeemer and that place and a new memory then the one before. It is really cool. In an Ensign Artical Elder Holland said "So sang the prophet who knew that a pool of water is no longer merely a pool of water once you have been baptized there. βFrom lowest place when virtuous things proceed, the place is dignified by the doerβs deed,β said Shakespeare. (Allβs Well That Ends Well, II. iii. 123β24.)"
I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and how I can come to the knowledge of my Redeemer through reading and studying it. I am grateful that know it is becoming more then just more scripture, it is becoming something beautiful in my eyes. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and can bring peace from reading it's words.
I love ya! Sister Kemp
