Happy New Year! 🎉

This week has been pretty good. I think I might start all of my emails like that but it was a good week. My Christmas was pretty awesome although by the end of the day I thought I might explode. We ate in a different members home all three meals. Way too much food. I got to talk to my family which was pretty neat. I am amazed at the technology that we have to be able to do that. We were asked to spend sometime studying and ponder about Jesus Christ on Christmas, it was a very neat to do that. This week we picked a street to go finding on. When we got to the street we found only 3 houses. So we knocked all three. We ended up talking with one person at all three house but only the last house were we able to teach them. We met Mattie and we talked about prayer and faith, we told her about how our message is centered on Christ and asked if we could teach her more she opened the door and told us to come in. We taught her the first lesson and gave her a Book of Mormon. We did our companion study after church yesterday and before we started there were some people we didn't know in the parking lot doing something over by the trees. We did our studies then went outside and they were gone. We left then came back to meet a member. We were a bit early and the people were back. So Sister Kulikowski and I went over to see what they were doing. They were picking up the acorns to sell them to the Forrest Preserve. We talked to Karen and she was telling us how her life has been rough. We talked about the Church and shared a Book of Mormon verse with her. She was really interested. We got her information so we could send missionary that were in her area over to her house so she could learn more. I finished reading the Book of Mormon today finishing up President Nelson's challenge. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that I can get closer to Christ by reading it. I know that President Nelson is the prophet. I know that this is Jesus Christ Church in these last days. Love ya. Sister Kemp.
