Happy Day!

Hey Ya'll! This week has been good! I have been getting use to the biking. It gets hard sometimes to get on after a while but it's been good. We have been trying to find people all week and sadly we weren't able to find anyone then last night, we came in for the night so we could do our personal study and as I was praying we heard a ding from the phone. I immediately thought that someone asked us to go out and find a new person. President Hansen asked all the missionaries to go out and try to find just one more. I knew we would. We looked at the map and Sister Sadlier said a street so we started walking. One of our neighbors where leaving at the same time. She offered to give us a ride. So we took. She talked to us about what Jesus taught her that day. She seemed content with her faith. So we got dropped off and started knocking. Who knew that the most people we talked to would be by knocking on their door at 8pm. They all seemed nice, not mad at all that we knocked so lat...

One Hot Summer

Hello! This week has been hot to say the least... Just kidding it has been pretty great. It was transfers this week so last Monday was crazy running around trying to see people hemming dresses having burgers and packing. We were up packing and I got a little frustrated with all the stuff to pack that I went to bed. Luckily there wasn't much left. On Tuesday we dropped off Sister Freeman and I picked up Sister Hyer. Sister Hyer and I where companions for a couple days until the trainers/ Trainees meeting. We saw a couple of members and went to volleyball one last time. Wednesday was the same ordeal but with Bible study at the end of the night. Thursday was the Trainers/ Trainees meeting. They switched the time to earlier so most of the trainers ended up being late... awkward... I am now the proud companion of Sister Sadlier. Sister Sadlier is awesome! She will jump right in a door approach even start some. She will add things in dinner thoughts and is here to work. She is having ...

Hello y'all! This week has been pretty good. News Flash I'll be heading to Russellville Arkansas this week! I will be getting a brand new missionary straight from the MTC. And it's full bike! I am excited but scared. Sad story we had our lesson with Kiana on Tuesday. We were pumped. She was going to make some Chicken pot pie and then she invited a friend and we taught God's plan of Salvation and her Friend taught us her plan of Salvation and ask us to do the same thing of praying to know if it is true. We got stuck there for like two hour. They were twisting our words and frankly I just felt so sad for them. They didn't believe simple truths like God being the Father of our Spirit. Finally I kind of got fed up and I bore my testimony, I don't know If any of y'all have had this happen before the the spirit just swooped in and I know they felt a Him. They couldn't speak because I just let the Holy Ghost do his thing. It was awesome. The ward is so sad t...

Temple Trip

Hello! This week was good! I hope ya'll had a great Fourth of July. I never thought I would think it would be fun as a missionary. The Book of Mormon is probably the most patriotic book that I have read. One of my favorite promises throughout the Book of Mormon is "And inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a land of promise; yea, even a land which I have prepared for you; yea, a land which is choice above all other lands" (this one is found in 1 Nephi 2:20) Heavenly Father put this land aside for those who would keep His commandments. It was called a land of Liberty way back when Captain Moroni led the army of Nephites. It's just all really neat. It is how every one of the hardest days to be a missionary in my book. No one wants to talk. We met a lady named Kiana. She had sisters knock in her door a few months ago and when they left she had so many questions for them. She was so happy when she realized we were from the same ...

This week was pretty good! Hard but Good! We didn't find anyone new this week but please keep all the others in your prayers. We went to our musical tribute yesterday and it was glorious it was so spiritual and just my favorite thing this week. This is going to be short we are doing a District a-day and in a pretty intense UNO game. I know that this is the Lords work and with out Him it wouldn't be accomplished. I have learned to rely on Him more Greatly. Love ya! Sister Kemp
