Happy Day!
Hey Ya'll! This week has been good! I have been getting use to the biking. It gets hard sometimes to get on after a while but it's been good.
We have been trying to find people all week and sadly we weren't able to find anyone then last night, we came in for the night so we could do our personal study and as I was praying we heard a ding from the phone. I immediately thought that someone asked us to go out and find a new person. President Hansen asked all the missionaries to go out and try to find just one more. I knew we would. We looked at the map and Sister Sadlier said a street so we started walking. One of our neighbors where leaving at the same time. She offered to give us a ride. So we took. She talked to us about what Jesus taught her that day. She seemed content with her faith. So we got dropped off and started knocking. Who knew that the most people we talked to would be by knocking on their door at 8pm. They all seemed nice, not mad at all that we knocked so late. But no one was interested. Finally we found Judy. She is sweet and loves to talk about God. She has a lot of the same beliefs that we have. We just need to help her realize that. She is sweet.
Last Monday we spent most of the day helping with a funeral. For a little refreshment afterwards they had root beer floats. They bought a Keg of Root Beer. It was a little strange looking to see a keg in the church building. It was good root beer though.
We where invited to a lunch with the Spanish Elders and the Hermanas and a member. I have never been so lost. Everyone was speaking Spanish. It was good food.
On Friday the Castleton's (a senior couple) took us out to steak and shake. It was very good. Our District is all sisters and the Castletons so Elder Castleton is our District Leader. It has been pretty fun.
We ended up running into the Hermanas a lot. We would walk up to a members house and they would walk out. Or they would would come to a members house we were sitting in. It was pretty funny. I haven't run into other sets of missionaries so much.
The ward had a picnic in the park. It was pretty fun. We got to know the members a lot better. The members a great they are funny and supportive of the missionaries.
I love this work and I love being able to Serve the Lord. I know that this is His work and He will help me find His elect. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that Heavenly Father is very loving. I know that the Book of Mormon is true.
Love ya, Sister Kemp.
