Temple 🎉🎉
Hello y'all! This has been another great one. I can't remember everything that happen but I will try to give you a detailed run down.
Monday:
Went hiking in Petit Jean we hiked to a cave it was pretty great. The rest of the day we contacted people.
Tuesday: We helped a member put some furniture together for the house she is remodeling. I have gotten pretty good at it.
Wednesday: We taught a lesson with the Hermanas and I am so grateful that I have grown up in the church with a belief in God and Jesus Christ. It is a little hard to explain how I know that when the person we are teaching isn't accepting the answer we give.
Karen sadly said that she didn't feel right reading the Book of Mormon and meeting with us. And has asked us to stop coming back. :(
Saturday: The Sister training leaders came to our area for a blitz and it was pretty great. We had spaghetti in the park with a member. Then we also went to sports night and played soccer. I ended up hitting a couple people in the face with the soccer ball...I'm not very good at soccer.
My tire keeps getting a flat and on Saturday it went completely flat. I knew there was a hole. So I told Sister Sadlier to lock up her bike we are walking the rest of the way. We went and contacted some people and went finding. Finally we had to return to the bike. I patched up the hole and was about to get ready to go when it got flat again. Shortly after noticing it got flat again the Branch President for the Spanish branch pulls up on his bike asked what happen and told us to follow him so he could take a look at it. Even thought I knew how to fix the tire it was a nice thing for him to care about us to help patch the tore again. With a lot more patches by the way. I makes me grateful for the church and the unity in it even being in different units and a slight language barrier. God truly watches out for each of his Children.
Sunday: The Hermanas asked us to sing with them during Sacrament for the Spanish branch. My brain hurt after that meeting. It was hard to sit through a meeting not knowing the language. At least I knew when they were going to say the prayer.
We had an impromptu nerf battle at a members house last night at dinner. It was pretty fun.
I came upon a scripture in Alma 38 verse 9 to be precise part of it says "that ye may learn of me that there is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Christ." Then it hit me. Christ Is the only way meaning that he set up a way to is his Atonement. There is only one way that we are saved not one for each church just one. He tells us the way to be saved through Modern-Day Prophets. If there is only one way there can only be one church. And the cool thing is everywhere in the standard works it says "I am the way the truth and the life."
Well that's all folks... love ya, Sister Kemp
