Sister Edilyn Kemp

This week has been really good. We have done a lot and have seen many miracles. We met Kim this week we is so cool. She had had lot of bad things happen to her within the past couple months and has been praying to know what she is needing to do. We walked pass her house as soon as she walked outside. We taught her some of the plan of salvation and she said she really needed to her that. We will be meeting with her in Wednesday. We had a lesson with Robbin scheduled for Thursday but she canceled because she was going out of town on Friday and had to prepare for that. But on Friday we where heading back to the apartment to have dinner when we got a call from Robbin. She wasn't going out of town until later that night and asked if we wanted to come over for a lesson! We said of course and had a really spiritual lesson with her. Hello! This week has been awesome. We have done a lot and met some really awesome people. We went to Earle this week to try some people that we are teaching but haven't been able to see recently and we decided to go tracting. We pick a street, and when we got there we saw only 3 houses on the street! So we knocked all three. No one was home, but two little kids were walking on the street and asked us what we were doing. We told them we were wanting to talk to people about Jesus. The pointed to a back of a house and said "That guy loves God...His name is Tony." So we went to that house and we met Tony. He is a really cool guy, he has been trying to find a church to go to, and wanted to know how he could get closer to God. Yesterday we went finding and knock on a house. A guy answered and we introduced ourselves, he said the house was a Muslim household. We offered service and gave him our card. We started down the street and we heard someone yelling. Hello! This week has been pretty good. We have had a lot of rain these past couple of days. I am glad that it has started to cool down. On Tuesday we had our district counsel in Blytheville. It was really cool. We saw an old Grey Hound Bus Station. Sadly we didn't get any pictures. Then we had exchanges afterwards and that was a fun little adventure. We met MD she is super cool. She was really interested in the Book of Mormon and asked for one before we could offer it to her. We have another lesson with her on Tuesday. We went and tried to see Jasmine and her boyfriend Lavelle answered the door. He was glad to have finally met us. He asked us what the Book of Mormon was. He really like the Book of Mormon and asked a ton of good questions concerning it. We had an awesome lesson with Robbin we were able to find out and help her with one of her major concerns, she is getting more ready each timenwe go over to accept the Gospel more fully. Hello! This week has been good. Conference was awesome as per usual. I loved Elder Uchtdorfs talk and how we need to do 3 simple things Believe, Love, Do. This week we met a guy name Ernest. We taught him a bit about the Book of Mormon and gave him a Book of Mormon. We left down the street to continue knocking. When we walked back to our car, Ernest was sitting in front of his house reading the Book of Mormon! That was a cool experience. We have another lesson with him later this week. We also met a girl named Ceneara. We were talking to her and she said she wanted to have a better relationship with Christ. We gave her a Book of Mormon and testified that if she read it she would come closer to Christ . Both Ricky and Samuel came to conference. Ricky had to leave early so we couldn't talk about his experience but Samuel loved it and he was even more interested with meeting with us. Hello y'all! This week has been good, a little crazy but good. I picked up Sister Kulikowski on Tuesday. It was strange to come with one companion and leave with another but Sister Kulikowski is awesome. We met Kenny this week. We knocked on door and he was really interested in what we had to say. He had a pretty bad stroke and doesn't really understand what we are saying but we asked him how he felt when we talk with him and he said "good". We where able to testify that he was feeling the Holy Ghost, even if he didn't know what we were saying. Donny stopped us walking on the street. He wanted to know more about the Church. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it. We went finding on a street a recent convert told us to go and most were not home. The people who were home were not interested at all.
